Design-Build Project Manager (Civil Construction)

Location: Lorton, Virginia, United States; projects are located in the DC/MD/VA area. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Salary: $80,000–$145,000 base salary per year.

What you will do

• Manage design-build project teams through pursuit, planning, pre-award, post-award, and post-design phases.
• Coordinate owners, designers, construction staff, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Develop staged design deliverables incorporating value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Manage design comments, stakeholder concerns, utility relocations, right-of-way acquisitions, and public outreach.
• Create project schedules in P6 and lead progress meetings.
• Oversee buyout activities, negotiate contracts, and ensure health and safety requirements are met.

Requirements

• 5+ years of construction management experience, preferably in civil, highway, or infrastructure projects.
• In-depth understanding of design-build delivery, including design, right-of-way, utility coordination, public involvement, and construction.
• Proficiency with P6, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, time-management, and leadership skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening and be authorized to work full-time in the United States.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
