Project Manager, Tenant Alterations (Aviation)

Salary: $153,600–$230,400 annually

What you will do

• Manage multiple airport tenant alteration and improvement projects from initiation through design, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Act as the primary point of contact for airport ownership, tenants, design consultants, contractors, operations teams, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate planning, permitting, procurement, construction administration, field activities, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, risk plans, quality objectives, and safety objectives.
• Review design documents, technical submissions, change orders, contractor deliverables, and executive project reports.
• Resolve technical, operational, scheduling, and stakeholder issues while minimizing disruption to active airport operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of project management experience, including significant experience in airport environments.
• Experience delivering capital improvement or tenant alteration projects in active aviation facilities.
• Ability to manage concurrent projects and competing stakeholder priorities.
• Strong understanding of design, construction, procurement, and project delivery processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship management, and multidisciplinary team coordination skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PANYNJ).
• Experience with major airport operators or aviation clients.
• PMP certification.
• Experience with Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, or Construction Manager at Risk delivery methods.
