Program Director (Warhead Manufacturing)

Location: Middletown, Iowa, United States; onsite at the company office or work site.

Salary: $143,440–$215,160 annually

Day & Zimmermann’s American Ordnance business develops and manufactures warhead systems for multiple Department of Defense contracts.

What you will do

• Lead integrated engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams across warhead R&D and production programs.
• Drive cost, schedule, technical performance, compliance, risk management, modernization, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the primary customer liaison, communicating program status and resolving contractual risks and obstacles.
• Own program business plans, budgets, profit and loss, revenue growth, strategic prospecting, and customer relationships.
• Coordinate RFP responses, business development for legacy products, production resources, and shared capabilities across programs.
• Identify technologies, enhance products, and design, build, and test prototypes with cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in US Government contracting.
• Knowledge of military explosives and ammunition or missile warhead systems.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical data.
• Ability to secure a secret clearance.
• Valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or federally compliant current passport, successful background screening, and ability to work onsite.
