Maintenance Superintendent (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead daily maintenance operations and coordinate schedules, resources, staff, and repair activities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment, perform facility repairs, and support fabrication, installation, operation, and maintenance work.
• Develop maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability.
• Use root cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment and process issues.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance personnel while providing ongoing performance feedback.
• Support budget planning, repair estimates, project costs, parts procurement, inspections, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude, equipment troubleshooting ability, and knowledge of safety procedures.
• Leadership, scheduling, communication, organizational, mathematical, and cost-analysis skills.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to move throughout the facility, perform maintenance work, stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work on ladders or at elevated heights.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, electrical technology, or a related field.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, millwright, or related technical certifications.
• Experience with Six Sigma, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices.
