Lead Production Technician (Fusion Energy)

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; on-site. Weekday third shift, Monday–Friday, 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.

Salary: $32–$52 per hour, plus a 15% shift differential, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, hire, and support training for technicians and welders building electromechanical parts and assemblies.
• Coordinate production schedules, resources, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and technicians to develop and qualify manufacturing techniques and processes.
• Build production hardware according to procedures, specifications, test instructions, and schedules.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing discrepancies and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, quality, and work-area standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalency certificate, or higher.
• At least 2 years of formal leadership experience in manufacturing.
• At least 6 years of technical experience including mechanical and electrical assembly, plumbing, vacuum systems, epoxy potting, injection molding, cryogenic systems, soldering, or wiring.
• Ability to lead a team, provide clear direction, work independently, and communicate goals effectively.
• Ability to work hands-on with precision tools and perform assembly and testing from start to finish.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around industrial hazards including high voltage, strong magnets, lead, fumes, noise, heat, cold, and cryogenics.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma.
• Experience with winding equipment.
