Portfolio Manager - CRE (Commercial Real Estate)

What you will do

• Underwrite credit extension requests for new and existing commercial real estate clients.
• Perform detailed financial analysis for commercial real estate and occasional personal lending opportunities.
• Prepare credit approval requests, modifications, covenant waivers and amendments for Senior Loan Committee review.
• Monitor assigned loan portfolios, including performance, risk ratings, financial reporting, covenant compliance, delinquencies, overdrafts, and monthly construction activity.
• Set up and maintain credit facilities in Baker Hill and other internal systems in line with loan documents and reporting requirements.
• Prepare financial reviews and monthly special asset reports, spread client financial statements, and support relationship managers on prospect and client calls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of credit analysis and underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of investment commercial real estate finance across multiple loan and property types.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word-processing applications, including graphs and charts.

Nice to have

• Completion of a bank commercial credit training program.
• Experience analyzing commercial and residential real estate projects, including retail, office, industrial, multifamily, land acquisition and development, and construction loans.
