Portfolio Manager II - Middle Market

Location: In office at 555 South Flower Street, Los Angeles, California, US 90071

Starting base salary: $48.66–$82.86 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Manage an assigned portfolio of middle-market credits and oversee underwriting across different credit exposures.
• Develop customized credit and banking solutions for privately held companies with annual revenues of $50 million to $1 billion.
• Analyze borrower and guarantor financial statements, tax returns, projections, and cash flow pro formas.
• Prepare underwriting memorandums, approval documents, and credit recommendations for Credit Risk review.
• Monitor portfolio performance, risk ratings, reporting covenants, covenant compliance, and quarterly and annual reporting.
• Partner with Relationship Managers, clients, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams while mentoring junior colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressively increasing credit underwriting and portfolio management experience in a relevant industry.
• Intermediate experience in credit management and lending operations, with a strong understanding of risk management principles.
• Intermediate analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Industry-specific knowledge and expertise.
