Project Manager - Land Development (Civil Engineering)

Location: Fort Myers, Florida office; full-time, office-based role serving projects throughout Southwest Florida.

What you will do

• Lead civil land development projects from concept and due diligence through design, permitting, and construction.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, fee proposals, deliverables, risks, and overall performance.
• Oversee engineering calculations, construction plans, specifications, technical reports, grading, stormwater, drainage, utilities, and roadway improvements.
• Serve as the primary client contact and coordinate with engineers, landscape architects, surveyors, planners, contractors, agencies, and other consultants.
• Navigate zoning, entitlements, development codes, permitting, and regulatory approvals with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Mentor engineering staff and support client relationship development, proposals, and business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in civil land development, site development, or a related field.
• Experience managing civil engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams, including scope, schedule, budget, client communication, and delivery.
• Strong knowledge of land development, site grading, stormwater management, drainage, utility design, and applicable permitting requirements.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Southwest Florida permitting, entitlements, and regulatory processes.
• Experience with residential, multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, or other private-sector development projects.
• Knowledge of green infrastructure, low-impact development, and sustainable stormwater management.
