Development Project Manager

Location: Oak Brook, Illinois, United States. Workplace: On-site. Travel is required as needed.

Compensation: $125,000–$150,000 annual salary with annual bonus potential.

Commercial real estate development and investment organization delivering industrial, retail, office, build-to-suit, and other tenant-driven projects across multiple markets.

What you will do

• Manage commercial development projects across scope, budget, schedule, due diligence, entitlements, design, construction coordination, and close-out.
• Lead site investigations and assess risks related to grading, stormwater, wetlands, floodplains, easements, access, utilities, costs, and schedules.
• Analyze zoning, municipal codes, permitting, and entitlement requirements while serving as a municipal point of contact.
• Manage consultants, deliverables, project meetings, design coordination, value engineering, reporting, and performance.
• Coordinate with Development, Construction, Leasing, Legal, Finance, Asset Management, municipalities, tenants, and other stakeholders.
• Identify process improvements, mitigate risks, maintain project compliance, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 6–10 years of experience in civil engineering, site planning, land development, or commercial real estate development preferred.
• Strong knowledge of site planning, civil engineering, stormwater management, entitlements, permitting, and land development.
• Strong project management, analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans, technical reports, leases, and municipal codes.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience with real estate development, project management, and related technical software.
