Sr Acquisition Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: On-site at Wright-Patterson AFB in Beavercreek, Ohio, United States. Travel requirements are minimal at 0–20%.

What you will do

• Lead acquisition processes for KC-46 Production Extension and Mobility Futures programs in compliance with Department of Defense policies and regulations.
• Develop and maintain acquisition strategies, plans, requests for proposals, statements of work, CDRLs, and data rights/IP documentation.
• Coordinate engineering, logistics, finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
• Advise on acquisition risks, cost estimation, contract negotiations, and corrective actions.
• Monitor program performance and prepare status reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Support the development and execution of test and evaluation plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 12–15 years of acquisition management experience within the DoD or a related field.
• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• In-depth knowledge of DoD acquisition policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Experience managing complex acquisition programs, with strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on-site at Wright-Patterson AFB.

Nice to have

• Experience with aircraft systems or aerospace programs.
• Project Management Professional certification.
• Experience with Earned Value Management and other program management tools.
• Experience writing and responding to federal and DoD requests for proposals.
• Program Management Level II or III DAWIA certification.
• Knowledge of DoD 5000.02 and AFLCMC policies, processes, and procedures.
