TL;DR
Lead Program Manager (Avionics Surveillance): Leading the full lifecycle development of safety-critical surveillance systems from concept through certification and production with an accent on program strategy, cost, schedule, and technical performance. Focus on coordinating hardware, embedded software, systems engineering, testing, certification, suppliers, and executive-level program governance across concurrent avionics programs.
Location: Phoenix, AZ; on-site

What you will do
- Own end-to-end program strategy, cost, schedule, and technical performance for multiple avionics development programs.
- Establish Integrated Master Plans and Schedules spanning hardware, software, systems engineering, and certification.
- Drive Earned Value Management, variance analysis, recovery planning, risk management, and corrective actions.
- Lead PDR, CDR, TRR, FCA, PCA, customer reviews, Integrated Product Teams, and Technical Interchange Meetings.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across engineering, testing, certification, airworthiness, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Mentor program managers and improve program standards, processes, and execution practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of progressive program management, product line leadership, or business leadership experience in aerospace, avionics, or a similarly regulated industry.
- Experience owning business performance for fielded products, including margin management, production support, customer support, and issue resolution.
- Strong financial acumen covering forecasting, revenue management, margin analysis, cost control, and business cases.
- Experience with program planning, risk management, performance monitoring, recovery execution, and matrixed leadership.
- Excellent executive communication and customer engagement skills.
Nice to have
- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or Technical Management.
- Experience with avionics, surveillance systems, safety-critical aerospace products, or large-scale certification and production-transition programs.
- PMP certification or equivalent program management credential.
- Knowledge of obsolescence management, repair strategy, spares planning, sustaining engineering, FAA, EASA, military airworthiness, or aerospace regulatory environments.
