Mid-Level AV/VTC Technician

Location: Onsite at EEOC Headquarters in Washington, DC, United States. Full-time onsite work is required, with approved travel and occasional after-hours, weekend, or on-call support.

What you will do

• Operate, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot AV/VTC systems across conference rooms, training facilities, executive meeting spaces, and virtual or hybrid environments.
• Support Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, Poly RealPresence, webinars, breakout rooms, and other approved collaboration platforms.
• Schedule and manage meetings, coordinate multi-location connections, monitor audio and video quality, and resolve connectivity and interoperability issues.
• Set up, rehearse, execute, record, stream, and close out hearings, town halls, executive meetings, training sessions, webcasts, conferences, and other official events.
• Operate cameras, microphones, audio mixers, video and presentation switchers, recording and streaming systems, projection systems, LED displays, digital signage, and public-address systems.
• Manage service requests and trouble tickets, perform maintenance and updates, monitor system health, maintain documentation and inventories, and coordinate resolutions with customers, IT teams, vendors, and manufacturers.

Requirements

• At least six years of professional AV/VTC support experience in an enterprise environment comparable in size and complexity to the EEOC.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise video conferencing and collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, and Poly RealPresence.
• Working knowledge of VTC endpoints, codecs, DSPs, control systems, cameras, microphones, audio mixers, presentation switchers, streaming and recording systems, displays, and related equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot AV, video, audio, hardware, software, network connectivity, and interoperability issues and escalate complex incidents when required.
• Must be able to work full-time onsite at EEOC Headquarters in Washington, DC and support approved travel, after-hours, weekends, or on-call operations.
• Must possess or be able to obtain Public Trust clearance, complete the required five-year employment background investigation, and meet applicable OPM suitability standards. Professional command of English and clear technical documentation skills are required.
