AV Event Technology Specialist (Cisco RoomOS)

Salary: $36.00–$50.00 per hour, plus benefits and a discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Support audiovisual systems in conference rooms, screening spaces, and event areas.
• Set up, operate, and strike AV equipment for meetings, town halls, screenings, and special productions.
• Troubleshoot AV incidents and escalate issues to minimize downtime.
• Configure and maintain Cisco RoomOS devices, collaboration endpoints, and platforms including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Webex.
• Manage IPTV and digital signage content scheduling, playback verification, monitoring, and vendor coordination.
• Provide on-site support for high-profile and hybrid events while collaborating with Technology, Facilities, Creative Services, Production, and the Service Desk.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in AV operations, event support, or a similar technical role.
• Intermediate knowledge of Cisco RoomOS, collaboration endpoints, and Microsoft Teams environments.
• Hands-on experience with displays, switchers, DSPs, microphones, control processors, and conferencing hardware.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills in time-sensitive live-event and meeting environments.
• Ability to lift and install equipment, run cables, perform physical room setups, and work flexible hours outside standard business hours.
• Familiarity with IPTV and digital signage platforms, including content deployment and playback monitoring.

Nice to have

• Experience with Crestron XiO Cloud, Q-SYS Reflect, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams administration tools.
• Knowledge of Crestron, Q-SYS, or Extron configuration or basic programming.
• Experience with Appspace, BrightSign, IPTV, broadcast/AV-over-IP, or AV management platforms.
• Basic networking knowledge related to AV systems, including VLANs, QoS, and multicast.
• CTS, Crestron, QSC, Extron, or Cisco certifications and experience supporting enterprise or executive-level events.
