Production Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Vonore, Tennessee, United States; onsite in a boat manufacturing facility

Salary: $84,500–$123,900 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and supervise supervisors, team leads, support staff, and production employees in the Sea Ray operations team.
• Apply Lean tools, including Andon, value stream mapping, flow improvement, and line balancing, to improve operational performance.
• Drive safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, visual management, and continuous improvement across production areas.
• Monitor production flow, anticipate bottlenecks, and reduce waste, scrap, damage, and rework.
• Coach and develop supervisors, team leaders, and Lean Six Sigma Green and Yellow Belts.
• Coordinate the launch and integration of new models, products, and technology with PDE, Sales, and Product Development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of operational experience across multiple phases of manufacturing, quality, or engineering.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and achieving results through leadership influence.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification with a demonstrated history of results; Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Excellent verbal, written, listening, and communication skills across all organizational levels.

Nice to have

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience with simulation software.
