What you will do
- Support day-to-day operational management of commercial buildings and grounds in line with approved budgets, business plans, and company procedures.
- Manage tenant-focused customer service programs, respond to service requests, and support tenant and property relationships.
- Assist with financial reporting, rent collection, invoicing, delinquency follow-up, payables, and accounting recordkeeping.
- Coordinate vendor relationships, contract obligations, bids, insurance requirements, quality control, and cost-containment initiatives.
- Support risk management, certificates of insurance, safety compliance, accident reporting, investigations, and insurance or legal coordination.
- Prepare properties for showings, support lease negotiations, estimate landlord work, and analyze financial and statistical data.
Requirements
- Experience in commercial real estate is required.
- Bachelorβs degree in business, real estate, or a related field.
- Ability to interpret commercial leases, abstract leases, and identify critical lease provisions.
- Ability to present information to management, business owners, and tenant groups and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills for budget variances, rent reconciliations, base-year calculations, contractor bids, and management reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with Yardi or similar software.
Nice to have
- Texas real estate license.
- At least 2 years of professional property management experience in a commercial office environment.
- Industry certifications.
- Experience with Angus or similar maintenance and service-ticketing software.
