Senior Property Manager

Location: Washington, DC; 100% in-office during standard business hours. Remote work and telecommuting are not available. Travel to assigned properties and regular property inspections are required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Salary: $125,000–$125,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead the operations, marketing, financial activities, and client coordination for commercial, industrial, or retail properties.
• Serve as the primary owner representative and prepare accurate monthly reports, annual budgets, variance analyses, and capital plans.
• Manage tenant needs, retention programs, rent collection, accounts receivable reporting, and client-approved legal notices.
• Oversee lease administration, vendor sourcing, procurement, contract compliance, property alterations, maintenance, and reconditioning.
• Supervise, recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate assigned property management staff.
• Maintain property inspections, emergency response plans, drills, and training programs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of senior-level property management experience overseeing third-party or owned properties; a bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent experience and education.
• Commercial office, retail, and industrial property experience, with knowledge of leases, contracts, financial instruments, property taxes, and construction.
• Real estate license where required by local regulation; CPM or RPA designation or candidacy is preferred.
• Advanced financial skills, including forecasting, budgeting, long-term capital planning, variance reporting, and financial recommendations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel; AP and CMMS proficiency required. Knowledge of Yardi, MRI, and Kardin is preferred.
• Current U.S. work authorization is required, and visa sponsorship is not available.
