Senior Product Designer (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY; on-site. Employees are expected to work in the office five days a week, with limited flexibility for circumstances requiring remote work or adjusted schedules.

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 per year, plus potential equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Own an ambiguous product space end-to-end, from discovery and prioritization through launch and post-launch iteration.
• Break complex problems into sequenced, executable bets and align stakeholders before solution development.
• Shape product strategy and roadmap decisions by connecting design choices to business goals.
• Build, evolve, and deprecate design-system patterns across hirify.global and a new brand.
• Present clear narratives to peers, leadership, and executive stakeholders while partnering with product, engineering, brand, and research.
• Mentor mid-level designers and improve critiques, kickoffs, retrospectives, onboarding, hiring, documentation, and design processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years designing consumer digital products, with experience owning complete product spaces rather than individual features.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong craft, problem-solving, trade-offs, reasoning, and post-launch outcomes.
• Experience building, evolving, or deprecating design-system patterns at scale in partnership with engineering.
• Range across visual, interaction, and content design, including native mobile experience for mobile-first products.
• Strong written communication, comfort with ambiguity and rapid pace, and judgment about when speed is appropriate.
• Fluency using AI for prototyping, exploration, and production, with discernment about when not to use it.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, lending, credit, or another regulated consumer domain.
• Experience with multi-brand portfolios or launching a second product alongside an existing one.
• Motion, prototyping, or front-end literacy that improves handoff discussions.
• Experience working closely with an embedded UX researcher.
