Global Trade Compliance Senior Manager (Biotech)

What you will do

• Lead key elements of the global trade compliance program across sanctions, export controls, restricted-party screening, clinical valuation, and international trade matters.
• Own the enterprise framework for screening counterparties, transactions, and ownership structures under OFAC, BIS, and other global regulatory requirements.
• Act as the escalation point for high-risk screening alerts, complex ownership determinations, enhanced due diligence, risk assessments, and operational recommendations.
• Lead the global clinical trial customs valuation program, including valuation methodologies and the annual true-up process.
• Support acquisitions, product launches, supply chain changes, strategic initiatives, and other complex compliance projects.
• Use automation, AI, advanced analytics, and digital technologies to improve compliance efficiency, scalability, and risk detection.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of relevant experience; master’s degree and 4 years; bachelor’s degree and 6 years; or associate’s degree and 10 years.
• Experience in compliance or screening operations, risk management, regulatory affairs, audit, law, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of BIS and OFAC sanctions regulations, the 50 Percent Rule, and global restricted-party screening requirements.
• Experience conducting ownership due diligence, ultimate beneficial ownership investigations, incident management, and remediation planning.
• Ability to analyze and communicate complex compliance data, influence stakeholders across departments and geographies, and manage multiple initiatives.
• High ethical standards, professional integrity, strategic thinking, and the ability to work independently in a global matrix organization.

Nice to have

• Trade compliance subject matter expertise in a multinational company, preferably in healthcare or life sciences.
• Experience with Dow Jones, Descartes, MK Denial, Sayari, Kharon, SAP GTS, Oracle GTM, or comparable platforms.
• Experience leveraging AI and advanced analytics for compliance monitoring and risk assessment.
