Entry-level Mechanical Designer (Revit): Assisting with the design, analysis, testing, and documentation of mechanical components and systems with an accent on Revit-based design, heat-load and airflow calculations, and HVAC applications. Focus on troubleshooting mechanical systems, preparing engineering documentation, and supporting project milestones with senior engineers and project managers.

Location: On-site in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Travel up to 10%, mainly to local client sites.

Salary: $70,000–$73,000 USD per year, plus eligibility for performance-based bonuses and equity participation.

What you will do

  • Assist with the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and products using Revit.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis, including heat loads and air flows.
  • Support troubleshooting and optimization of mechanical systems.
  • Prepare design specifications, plans, reports, technical presentations, and project updates.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to complete project milestones.
  • Support material, component, and equipment selection, as well as quality assurance processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Revit software.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona.

Nice to have

  • Internship or co-op experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE, IMC, and other industry standards and codes.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC design.
