Product Engineering Manager (Data Products)

Location: Remote – U.S.A.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year, plus a possible discretionary incentive program and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and manage the data product roadmap in line with business priorities and OKRs.
• Work with business stakeholders to capture, prioritize, and translate requirements into data product specifications.
• Specify schemas, SLAs, access controls, metadata, and documentation for lakehouse-based data products.
• Collaborate with data engineers on delivery quality, sprint planning, backlog grooming, capacity management, and releases.
• Manage the data product catalog and metadata to support discoverability and self-service.
• Track product usage, quality, business value, adoption, governance, information security, and compliance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product management, data management, or analytics.
• 3+ years managing data products in a modern data lakehouse or data warehouse environment.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data lineage, and metadata management.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and product lifecycle tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker and proficiency in SQL.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, plus strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with DataHub, Apache Atlas, or Alation.
• Knowledge of data mesh and domain-oriented data ownership models.
• CDMP, PMP, or Agile Product Owner certification.
