FAIR Inspector (Aerospace Manufacturing): Completing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports and dimensional inspections for complex machined parts and sub-assemblies with an accent on customer compliance, precision measurement, and government testing documentation. Focus on resolving FAIR issues with customers, verifying drawing and process requirements, and performing inspections using CMM and conventional inspection equipment.
Location: Onsite in New Port Richey, Florida, United States. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; routine overtime and up to 10% travel required.

What you will do
- Complete First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102 using DISCUS and NetInspect.
- Perform final, in-process, dimensional, and visual inspections across the Air, Hydraulics, and Elements value streams.
- Inspect complex, close-tolerance machined parts and sub-assemblies using CMMs, micrometers, calipers, bore gages, optical comparators, height gages, ring gages, and pin gages.
- Review drawings, purchase orders, process certifications, and customer flow-down requirements.
- Work with customers to resolve FAIR issues, obtain approvals, and manage documentation through customer portals.
- Prepare Government Product Lot Testing, Government First Article Testing, and FAA Conformity Testing reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and 5+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, military, or machining manufacturing environment operating under ISO 9001/AS9100 requirements.
- 2+ years of experience completing AS9102 First Article inspections using DISCUS software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and/or an ERP system.
- U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required to access export-controlled items and data.
- Must pass Ishihara color-deficiency and Jaeger Level 1 vision examinations and have at least 20/25 vision with correction.
- Ability to lift at least 35 pounds daily, maintain dexterity, work with solvents and chemicals, and stand, sit, bend, lift, and twist for extended periods.
