Associate Data Scientist

Location: Remote within the United States; associated office location in Northbrook, Illinois

Salary: $62,700–$83,000 USD annually, plus target annual bonus compensation of 5% of base salary

What you will do

• Collect, clean, validate, and maintain reliable datasets for reporting and analysis.
• Perform recurring and ad-hoc analyses to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
• Prepare datasets and support exploratory data analysis for business and operational initiatives.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, Excel, and similar tools.
• Support the development, testing, validation, and monitoring of predictive and statistical models.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineering, and development teams to translate requirements into analytical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, or data science, including internships or academic projects.
• Working knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Experience with Power BI, Excel, or similar data visualization tools, plus basic statistical concepts.
• Ability to gather and document business requirements and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira, with strong attention to data quality.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure or Snowflake.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle concepts and version control tools.
• Exposure to AI-assisted analytics, generative AI, or emerging data science technologies.
• Experience with enterprise data environments and data governance practices.
