Senior Aircraft Technician (Avionics)

Location: Grand Prairie, Texas, United States; on-site, 90% onsite

What you will do

• Repair or replace electronic components and systems using component maintenance manuals.
• Operate and set up automated and bench-test equipment to verify component functionality.
• Diagnose and isolate faults from LRU and SRU level down to individual components such as transistors, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and diodes.
• Perform touch-up and through-hole soldering to remove and replace PCB components.
• Complete maintenance orders and ensure repairs comply with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company processes.
• Follow electrostatic-sensitive device procedures throughout the repair process.

Requirements

• At least six years of bench technician or component-level electronics repair experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and repair defective PCB components.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
• Must qualify as a US Person under the ITAR definition, such as a US citizen, green card holder, or person covered by an existing ITAR license.
• Ability to climb ladders and aircraft foot holds, stand regularly, and lift equipment weighing up to 60 lb (27 kg).

Nice to have

• FCC license.
• Through-hole soldering certification.
