Senior Aircraft Sheetmetal Technician - NHC (Contract)

Location: Columbus, Mississippi, United States; onsite 95%. Must be a US Person under ITAR and able to travel independently at short notice for limited travel requirements.

What you will do

• Read detailed plans, blueprints, sketches, and diagrams before assembly.
• Inspect and measure parts to confirm correct dimensions and freedom from defects.
• Install sheet metal parts and assemblies while protecting aircraft structures and system operations.
• Fit and assemble helicopter skins, frames, tail booms, stabilizers, and other sub-assemblies.
• Drill, fit, and rivet aircraft structural components.
• Work with inspectors to test and verify proper assembly.

Requirements

• At least six years of related aircraft sheet metal experience, with some experience potentially substituted by education associated with an A&P license or a directly related degree.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.
• Knowledge of standard shop practices for fabricating, repairing, and modifying aircraft structures.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must qualify as a US Person under the ITAR definition.
• Ability to operate production tools, use required PPE, and perform the stated physical duties, including carrying and lifting up to 30 lb/14 kg.

• Current Airframe or Powerplant license.
