Salary: $34.90–$47.99 per hour

What you will do

  • Perform heavy structures repairs and modifications on military and civilian aircraft, including King Air, Challenger 650, and Global 6500.
  • Maintain airframes and complete structural damage assessments to support repairs across a diverse fleet.
  • Read and interpret system diagrams, engineering drawings, blueprints, manuals, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Control, Field Technicians, and other maintenance departments to resolve aircraft issues and complete preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure inspection, maintenance, and modification work follows FAA regulations, OSHA requirements, operating instructions, and company standards.
  • Coach and mentor other technicians while completing complex projects independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience; a higher degree or related experience may substitute.
  • Advanced experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting, airframe corrosion removal, repair, and refinishing.
  • Ability to install rivets, hi-locks, and other aircraft fasteners while maintaining edge distance and pitch.
  • Ability to interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
  • Own tools in good working order and strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and safety discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Associate of Applied Science in Aviation.
  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant license.
  • Military or on-the-job aviation structures/sheetmetal training.
  • Formal fastener manufacturing or metal processing training, aircraft manufacturer familiarization training, or continuous improvement certifications.
  • Aerospace and defense, U.S. Department of Defense, NASA, or U.S. military experience; ability to travel.
