Senior Aircraft Avionics Technician - NHC (Contract)

Airbus manufactures and maintains helicopters, including UH-72A Lakota helicopters for the U.S. Army and H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

What you will do

• Assemble, install, repair, and replace aircraft electrical and electronic components and systems.
• Perform functional checks of avionics components and systems.
• Use blueprints, sketches, diagrams, vendor manuals, and service manuals to determine dimensions, alignment, tolerances, and specifications.
• Operate standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices, and test equipment.
• Coordinate schedules, priorities, parts, supplies, tools, and instructions with the assigned lead person.
• Ensure completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.

Requirements

• At least six years of experience working on aircraft avionics, preferably rotorcraft.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams and apply standard shop practices to aircraft fabrication, repairs, and modifications.
• Must be able to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to carry and lift tools, drawings, documents, and electronic equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to work around moving aircraft, uneven surfaces, chemicals, fumes, and required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• Current A&P license.
