Senior Aircraft Technician - Mechanical (Contract)(NHC) (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Columbus, Mississippi, United States. Must be a US Person under ITAR requirements.

hirify.global Helicopters manufactures and maintains helicopters for U.S. Army, civil, and commercial customers, including the UH-72A Lakota and H-125 aircraft.

What you will do

• Provide aircraft maintenance support for new helicopter completions, deliveries, training fleets, demonstrations, and STC development.
• Perform detailed assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of aircraft parts and components.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems and components, determine corrective actions, and support aircraft safety and airworthiness.
• Conduct airframe calendar and hourly inspections, including hidden-damage inspections of structures and sub-assemblies.
• Disassemble and reassemble aircraft for movement, including loading and unloading aircraft from trailers.
• Perform rotor-system track and balancing and vibration analysis.

Requirements

• At least six years of experience as an aviation mechanic.
• Helicopter maintenance experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams and apply standard shop practices to aircraft fabrication and repair modifications.
• Must qualify as a US Person under the ITAR definition: U.S. citizen, green card holder, or person covered under an existing ITAR license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb/23 kg, operate production tools, work on the production floor, and fly in the aircraft daily.

Nice to have

• A&P license.
