FP&A Analyst (SaaS)

Location: Tysons, Virginia, United States; employees work from the office 4 days a week.

Base salary: $80,000–$100,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Partner with the Commercial portfolio, emerging businesses, subsidiaries, and senior leadership as a financial business partner.
• Support monthly close and forecasting by analyzing results, performance drivers, variances, and financial outlooks.
• Build and maintain models for revenue, operating expenses, headcount, capital investments, commissions, and other business drivers.
• Support deal desk and commercial decisions through pricing, customer economics, profitability, and investment analysis.
• Develop annual operating plans, forecasts, long-term strategic plans, sales commission plans, and incentive programs.
• Analyze trends and KPIs, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations while improving reporting and analytical tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, investment banking, consulting, or a transferable analytical role.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts, and corporate finance fundamentals.
• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze and organize large datasets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and project ownership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS, recurring-revenue, or subscription-based businesses.
• Curiosity about business operations and motivation to develop into a trusted financial partner.
