2nd Shift Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Blue Island, IL, United States; onsite, second shift

Salary: $23–$28 per hour plus shift differential

What you will do

• Manage production operations across multiple departments and shifts.
• Lead, motivate, coach, and develop employees while setting productivity expectations and conducting performance reviews.
• Manage department costs, profitability, inventory, reports, and records.
• Identify and resolve production problems and opportunities while evaluating performance and programs.
• Lead continuous improvement and safety initiatives, participate in the Safety Committee, and maintain compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate quality activities, machine audits, hazardous-material procedures when assigned, and material movement using a forklift when needed.

Requirements

• Post-high-school education.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience and 1–3 years of experience managing people.
• Strong communication, organization, agenda-setting, reporting, and employee accountability skills.
• Knowledge of machinery, equipment, preventive maintenance, standard work instructions, and the Precise Plant Quality Program.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement principles, including 5S and TPM.
• Completion of the Forklift Driver licensing process, with training in machine audits and LOTO practices.
