Associate Field Service Engineer (Diagnostics)

Location: Remote from the Twin Cities area, covering the Northland territory across North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Montana. Frequent regional travel, occasional overnight travel, and a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record are required.

Annual salary: $62,000–$72,000, plus eligible bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, install, validate, modify, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on Beckman Coulter diagnostic equipment.
• Provide efficient customer service and technical product training.
• Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records.
• Order repair parts, adhere to service cycle times, and use OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service call planning.
• Communicate with internal and external customers and address their technical and service needs.
• Support the training and development of newer Field Service Engineers.

Requirements

• Associate degree in technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent military experience.
• At least 1 year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotic, electronic equipment, or instrumentation.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned geography and periodically travel overnight.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform frequent physical movements including bending, crouching, reaching, and extended standing or sitting.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of advanced troubleshooting experience.
• Experience developing internal and external customer relationships.
• Technical college major in biomedical technology, engineering, or a related field.
