Systems Programmer (z/OS)

Location: All Cities, USA

Salary: $100,080–$190,080 per year, with different ranges for certain U.S. locations.

What you will do

• Develop, test, maintain, and support software controlling operating systems, hardware, and systems software.
• Provide z/OS mainframe operating system platform programming and program product support.
• Install, maintain, configure, and troubleshoot z/OS environments and subsystems.
• Conduct root cause analysis discussions for supported products and resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to professional work teams.
• Guide functional objectives and help design and implement enterprise technology solutions.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience with z/OS installation, maintenance, configuration, and support.
• Required experience with z/OS subsystems, including JES2, SMS, RACF or ACF2.
• Experience with IBM program products and standard mainframe ISV/OEM software, including BMC and Broadcom/CA.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with TCP/IP, NetView or SysView, FTP, SFTP, and Connect:Direct.
• Experience with VIPA, DVIPA, and complex GDPS environments.
