Senior Mainframe Database Administrator (DB2)

What you will do

• Administer and support DB2 for z/OS, Oracle, SQL Server, and GIS database environments.
• Monitor database health, availability, and performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize workloads.
• Design and maintain enterprise database architectures, schemas, data structures, and data dictionaries.
• Perform DB2 upgrades, catalog maintenance, subsystem recovery, point-in-time recovery, backup, and disaster recovery activities.
• Support mainframe infrastructure and application integration involving z/OS, JCL, RACF, CICS, ISPF, IOF, and related technologies.
• Provide technical leadership, documentation, knowledge transfer, mentoring, and collaboration with developers, analysts, project managers, and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• 15+ years of combined database administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Expert-level experience with DB2 for z/OS, Oracle 10g or later, and SQL Server 2008 R2 or later.
• Strong experience in database design and administration, performance tuning, disaster recovery, database security, and infrastructure planning.
• Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
• Technical experience with z/OS, JCL, ISPF, RACF, CICS, IOF, AFOPER, BJS, CA GEN, ASG Scheduler, COBOL, z/OS exits, started tasks administration, SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, Windows Server, and Azure fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Experience with FDOT Integrated Database Infrastructure, financial management systems, or integrated application environments.
• Experience supporting GIS databases, spatial data solutions, enterprise data warehouses, or cloud-based database environments.
