Head of Finance (Fintech)

hirify.global is a fintech company providing a smart financial app with payments, online shopping, personal finance management, cashback, purchase protection, and multi-currency accounts.

What you will do

• Lead financial management, including annual budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, cash flow planning, and profitability analysis.
• Manage regulatory finance for the FCA-regulated Electronic Money Institution, including own funds calculations, capital adequacy monitoring, wind-down planning, and regulatory returns.
• Oversee daily safeguarding reconciliations, segregation of client funds, safeguarding calculations, exception escalation, and audit-ready records.
• Maintain the financial control framework, accurate accounting records, and month-end and year-end close processes.
• Oversee treasury activities, liquidity, banking relationships, funding requirements, supplier payments, and working capital.
• Prepare statutory accounts, coordinate external audits, manage auditor relationships, and ensure timely Companies House filings.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification.
• Significant post-qualification experience in financial services and experience in an FCA-regulated EMI, Payment Institution, or banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of the Electronic Money Regulations 2011, Payment Services Regulations 2017, FCA Handbook, safeguarding requirements, and EMI prudential requirements.
• Experience producing Board-level financial reporting, managing external audits, implementing financial controls, and applying IFRS or UK GAAP.
• Strong treasury and liquidity management, strategic financial leadership, commercial acumen, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience with payment processing businesses and safeguarding reconciliations.
• Experience supporting FCA supervisory engagements and scaling fintech organizations.
• Knowledge of AML financial controls and operational resilience.
