Senior Financial Risk and Controls Manager (Fintech)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid working from the Dublin office 2–3 days a week, with occasional travel to the London head office.

Salary: €91,000–€111,500 annually, plus performance-linked incentive awards and benefits.

What you will do

• Maintain and improve the Finance risk and control environment, documentation, evidence standards, and control processes.
• Design, maintain, and enhance risk and control matrices for key Finance processes.
• Test controls and review evidence across financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, regulatory reporting, tax, treasury, and capital and liquidity processes.
• Assess control design and operating effectiveness, identify gaps, recommend improvements, and track remediation actions.
• Lead and support Finance risk and control self-assessments, including evidence gathering, challenge, and documentation.
• Prepare updates for Finance leadership and governance forums, and support Risk & Compliance, Internal Audit, and external audit reviews.

Requirements

• Recognised accounting qualification or near-qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA Ireland, or equivalent.
• Detailed experience in audit, financial control, risk assurance, internal controls, or regulatory reporting.
• Experience in banking, fintech, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of accounting processes, balance sheet controls, reconciliations, and financial reporting risks.
• Experience testing or reviewing controls, documenting risks and remediation plans, and assessing design and operating effectiveness.
• Strong attention to detail, influencing skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to present data clearly.
