Senior Claims Specialist, PL Claims

What you will do

• Handle moderate to high complexity and exposure claims from coverage enquiry through liability assessment, quantum analysis, negotiation, and resolution.
• Review policies and supporting documentation, analyze coverage, and prepare coverage position letters for litigated matters.
• Coordinate investigations into loss facts and damages, evaluate insured exposure, and set reserves or recommend reserve changes.
• Direct experts, outside counsel, independent adjusters, and other vendors while managing litigation strategy and expenses.
• Present cases going to trial to senior claims leaders and underwriters, and coordinate loss information for stakeholders.
• Deliver technical training and contribute to claims guidelines, best practices, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of claims handling or general insurance experience.
• Experience with negotiation, mediations, arbitrations, and monitoring trials involving higher-value complex claims.
• Advanced expertise in technically complex claims topics and strong policy language interpretation skills.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organization, time management, vendor management, and customer service skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
