Field Service Representative (Diagnostics)

Location: 100% remote from a home base in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, with frequent local and regional travel up to 60% of the time, including overnight travel within the assigned district and occasional travel to other Canadian service districts and the United States.

Salary: CAD 70,000–90,000 annually, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, validate, and perform preventive maintenance on designated diagnostic instrumentation.
• Complete field modifications, service documentation, and maintenance activities accurately and on time.
• Provide technical training and responsive customer service to diagnostic laboratory clients.
• Build strong customer relationships and support clients as a trusted technical partner.
• Travel throughout Southwestern and Northern Ontario and occasionally to other service territories in Canada and the United States.

Requirements

• Technical diploma or higher in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• At least three years of related experience; field service experience is preferred.
• Experience using hematology systems.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record for the past three years, a valid Ontario G license, and ability to travel to and from the United States.
• Ability to travel up to 60% of the time, including overnight travel, and lift, lower, and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to meet safe-driver, background-check, immunization, training, and vendor-credentialing requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience servicing hematology, chemistry, immunochemistry, automation, or urinalysis instrumentation.
• Experience with in vitro diagnostic instrumentation.
