Senior Workday Functional Lead - Absence (Workday)

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States

Base salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Configure and maintain Workday absence plans, accrual policies, time-off types, and leave management.
• Support core HCM functions, including organizational management, job and position data, and business process configuration.
• Troubleshoot absence and HCM system issues and resolve employee and manager inquiries.
• Translate HR and Legal policy changes into Workday configuration and collaborate with application teams on data flows and downstream impacts.
• Support EIB data loads, audits, exception reporting, documentation, and test script creation.
• Participate in bi-annual Workday release reviews and assess impacts on Absence and HCM functionality.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on Workday experience with Absence and HCM configurations.
• Proven ability to independently configure absence and leave plans end-to-end, including accrual logic, carryover rules, and leave of absence management.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Work is associated with the Charlotte, NC location.
