Communications Lead, France and Southern Europe (AI)

Location: Paris, France; hybrid policy requiring staff to be in an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time

What you will do

• Own communications strategy across France and Southern Europe, translating global research and product innovation into locally relevant narratives.
• Lead corporate communications and create landmark campaigns and executive thought-leadership opportunities.
• Partner with go-to-market and policy teams to strengthen Claude's enterprise positioning and communicate responsible AI development.
• Navigate communications on AI sovereignty, copyright, regulation, science, education, and the public sector.
• Build relationships with journalists, creators, influencers, policymakers, and other voices shaping the regional AI debate.
• Advise Anthropic and customer spokespeople, provide media preparation, and build team operations and agency support.

Requirements

• Approximately 10–12 years of communications experience, ideally in-house at AI or high-growth technology companies.
• Strong media-relations experience, especially direct work with journalists in France.
• Experience running international communications programs for a US-headquartered technology company, with significant experience in France, Italy, or Spain.
• Strong understanding of the European AI ecosystem, including companies, founders, investors, journalists, and policymakers.
• Experience managing senior stakeholders and advising executives.
• Fluent French and English required. A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Italian and/or Spanish.
• Communications experience in AI companies, high-growth startups, research labs, financial services, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Established relationships with influential voices in France, Italy, and Spain.
• Understanding of AI policy dynamics in the European Union.
