Communications Lead (AI)

Location: Remote-first within the United States

Base compensation: $161,500–$230,000 annually, depending on geographic pay zone, experience, qualifications, and skills. Eligible for a company-wide bonus program.

What you will do

• Shape and deliver company, product, customer, and thought-leadership narratives across earned and owned media.
• Develop communications strategies and media plans for key brand moments, product launches, campaigns, and company milestones.
• Lead executive voice strategy, including press opportunities, speeches, op-eds, interviews, keynotes, podcasts, and other public engagements.
• Manage external press relations and PR agencies, measuring media coverage, share of voice, and reputation impact.
• Build relationships with business and technology media and advise executives on communications and thought-leadership opportunities.
• Partner cross-functionally with executives, marketing, product marketing, social, employer brand, and internal communications teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in communications, public relations, and/or brand leadership roles.
• Experience shaping and executing external communications strategies at high-growth or enterprise technology companies.
• Deep understanding of the technology industry and the ability to translate complex concepts, including AI and product innovation, into clear narratives.
• Proven success managing PR agencies and delivering measurable results in media coverage, share of voice, and reputation.
• Strong media relations experience, executive communications skills, and relationships with business and technology journalists.
• Experience with crisis communications, data-informed strategy, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
