IT Business Analyst - LIMS Process Expert (LIMS)

What you will do

• Support the in-house chromatography data processing application across gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, ICP, and mass spectrometry workflows.
• Translate laboratory and business needs into business requirements, user requirements, acceptance criteria, and functional designs.
• Maintain BRD, URD, BPMN, and process documentation while supporting backlog grooming and release scoping.
• Lead EU-regional user acceptance testing, business sign-off, change management, and post-deployment impact tracking.
• Map current and future-state laboratory workflows, identify process and compliance gaps, and support audits, CAPAs, and nonconformity resolution.
• Build dashboards and provide data-driven insights for throughput, error rates, QC, method performance, adoption, budgeting, and forecasting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, IT, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner/Analyst in software, laboratory operations, or scientific environments.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation in an Agile environment, including Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with LIMS, CDS, scientific data management platforms, and instrument integration.
• Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, EU Ecolabel requirements, and European Accreditation frameworks.
• Strong written and spoken English, analytical skills, stakeholder management, and facilitation abilities; Excel proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in environmental, food, agroscience, or biopharma testing and laboratory operations in EU-regulated environments.
• Experience building BPMN workflows and writing functional specifications.
• MBA, M.Sc., or an advanced scientific or technical degree.
