Operations Manager - Medium Voltage (Solar PV/BESS)

Location: United States — Remote; preference for candidates in the Northeast for project coverage

Salary: $111,000–$161,500 per year, plus benefits and potential performance incentives.

What you will do

• Build hirify.global’s Medium Voltage Operations & Maintenance Department, including hiring and developing crews and expanding from an initial three-person crew to a 21-person department.
• Develop SOPs, MOPs, JHAs, quality systems, and processes for medium-voltage preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Lead the transition of maintenance work from third-party contractors to internal crews while managing retained subcontractors and surge capacity.
• Oversee nationwide scheduling, dispatch, field execution, crew travel, KPIs, work orders, and records in AssetPlanner CMMS.
• Provide technical oversight for medium-voltage issues, testing reports, repair-versus-replace recommendations, and escalation of critical findings.
• Manage safety, training, inventory, budgets, fleet, tooling, and 24/7 emergency corrective-maintenance support.

Requirements

• Experience managing medium-voltage operations, maintenance, field crews, or subcontractors.
• Ability to establish operating procedures, quality systems, safety programs, and department KPIs.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, PPE, lockout/tagout, medium-voltage testing, and related regulatory requirements.
• Ability to review DGA results, relay test reports, infrared scans, cable test results, and other subcontractor deliverables.
• Ability to manage nationwide service execution, crew logistics, budgets, inventory, and technical escalations.
• Must be able to support an on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays when needed.

• Residence in the Northeast to support coverage of hirify.global’s medium-voltage projects.
• Experience with Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System portfolios.
• Experience with AssetPlanner or another CMMS platform.
