TL;DR
Test Lab Tech - 1st & 2nd Shift Opportunities (Aerospace) (Aerospace Fluid Conveyance Products): Performing routine and non-routine testing of aerospace fluid conveyance products with an accent on test setup, operation, data collection, and quality compliance. Focus on verifying equipment calibration, resolving testing problems and equipment malfunctions, and maintaining accurate test documentation.

Location: Laconia, New Hampshire, United States; onsite. Second shift runs Monday–Thursday, 3:15 PM–1:45 AM, with a $1.00 shift differential; training on first shift, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM, is required.

Salary: $1.00 shift differential for second-shift work.

What you will do

  • Conduct inspections of test pieces against quality standards, aerospace and military specifications, test requests, and customer requirements.
  • Set up, operate, document, and break down tests, including written or electronic data collection and test sample disposition.
  • Perform routine and non-routine testing accurately under standard operating procedures or engineering direction.
  • Verify test equipment calibration and functionality, and remove overdue equipment from service.
  • Support technical teams in resolving testing problems, roadblocks, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory while following all safety procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; college or vocational coursework, military experience, or equivalent education and experience is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and prior experience using mechanical tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and equipment or operating manuals.
  • Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and apply basic algebra and geometry.
  • Must complete supervised training and sign-off before conducting all testing independently.
