TL;DR
Production Technician I (Aerospace Manufacturing) (Calibration and Functional Testing): Performing calibration and functional tests on aerospace subassemblies and end items with an accent on automated testing, manual test equipment, and non-conformance reporting. Focus on interpreting engineering specifications, adjusting units precisely, and identifying failures in high-volume regulated manufacturing operations.

Location: Lynnwood, Washington, United States; onsite weekend shift, Friday–Sunday, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM

Salary: $24.63–$32.47 per hour

What you will do

  • Perform calibration, functional, automated, and performance testing on subassemblies and finished products.
  • Set up, adjust, operate, and interpret results from standard and specialized test equipment.
  • Prepare non-conformance reports with testing details, failure descriptions, and initial root-cause investigation results.
  • Interpret work orders, engineering drawings, test procedures, manuals, failure reports, and production specifications.
  • Make calculations and mechanical or electrical adjustments involving voltage, resistance, current, impedance, flow rate, dimensions, and related parameters.
  • Support 5S, KPI, Standard Work, problem-solving, audits, customer visits, and other manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment or equivalent education.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or repair product flow and computer systems.
  • Ability to learn test software and equipment, identify non-conforming conditions, work in multiple software systems, and provide analytical feedback.
  • Good written and spoken English communication, manual dexterity, and precisely coordinated movements.
  • Only US Persons may be considered when the position requires access to Controlled Data or Information; ITAR requirements apply.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and manufacturing optimization.
  • AA degree in Electronic or Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with microscope work or soldering.
