Bilingual Spanish Branch Manager (Banking)

What you will do

• Manage all branch activities, including customer and employee experience, transactions, servicing, digital engagement, and sales.
• Direct sales and business development to achieve annual profitability, sales, and operational goals.
• Lead, coach, develop, and manage branch staff, including hiring, performance reviews, promotions, and staffing decisions.
• Build Retail and Business Banking relationships through customer needs analysis, outreach, outside calling, and community involvement.
• Resolve complex account servicing and error-resolution issues while coaching staff to reduce future escalations.
• Process Business Banking loan requests up to $100,000 and maintain compliance, security, fraud-prevention, audit, and internal-control standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of sales experience and two years of managerial experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
• Proven branch banking management experience and knowledge of Business Banking products, services, profitability, and client relationship management.
• Fluent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish is required; proficiency will be assessed.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, common PC software, internet, and email.
• M&T Way Certification and Precision Leadership Certification; Business Banking Specialist qualification is required within 18 months of hire.

Nice to have

• Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licensing, obtained within 18 months when required by the market manager or branch.
• Strong sales and business development results, financial services product knowledge, and understanding of profitability.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, time-management, prioritization, and customer-service coaching skills.
