Production Technician II (Aerospace and Defense)

Location: Sparks, Nevada, United States; on-site production work

What you will do

• Assemble complex electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies using technical diagrams, drawings, and manuals.
• Perform quality inspections and tests, troubleshoot basic assembly issues, and document production activities and discrepancies.
• Maintain and calibrate assembly tools and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment in potentially hazardous or loud environments.
• Support training and mentoring for junior production technicians.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a technician or in a related field; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
• Experience with electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and manufacturing principles.
• Basic skills in assembly, soldering, and connectors; ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, use hand and finger dexterity, and stand for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• OSHA 10-Hour Training certification.
• Background in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. Military.
