Senior Safety Manager

What you will do

• Lead safety performance and development across assigned business units, projects, and direct reports.
• Manage, coach, train, and evaluate Safety Superintendents and Safety Managers.
• Analyze inspection, hazard, and incident data to identify trends and improve safety performance.
• Evaluate compliance with OSHA and federal, state, local, corporate, and client safety requirements.
• Lead inspections, crisis response, accident investigations, safety planning, toolbox talks, and project orientations.
• Develop safety policies, procedures, training programs, corporate goals, and safety culture initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or a related field preferred, with either a degree and eight years of experience or twelve or more years of construction safety experience.
• CHST, CSP, or an equivalent professional safety designation.
• First Aid/CPR certification and OSHA 30 Hour for construction; OSHA 500 preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of high-hazard areas including cranes, fall protection, scaffolding, excavation, and electrical safety.
• Strong technical writing, verbal communication, analytical, research, public speaking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work across diverse geographic areas, changing schedules, emergency conditions, and construction site environments.
