Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Redruth, Cornwall or Portsmouth, Hampshire, United Kingdom. Monday to Friday, with 25–30% national and international travel and occasional weekend travel. Flexibility around meeting times may be required to support global time zones.

What you will do

• Lead strategic sourcing activities for Pall Aerospace’s direct and indirect requirements across approximately $100M in purchasing volume.
• Design, negotiate, and implement multiyear contracts, including RFQs, RFIs, long-term agreements, pricing agreements, and stocking agreements.
• Manage supplier relationships, evaluate supply alternatives, and develop negotiation strategies using market data.
• Support outsourcing, insourcing, and vendor-to-vendor transitions while improving year-over-year working capital.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, Operations, procurement teams, and suppliers on sourcing strategy, manufacturability, and raw material selection.
• Monitor supplier performance and support, mentor, and guide the local tactical purchasing team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in supply chain, procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills and measurable performance results.
• Domestic and/or global sourcing experience in a large USA or multinational manufacturing company.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with RFI, RFQ, and reverse-auction tools.
• Ability to work on-site in the United Kingdom, travel 25–30% nationally and internationally, hold a valid state-issued driver’s license, and perform duties in office, distribution, and customer-site settings.

• Experience with aerospace and defense programs, customers, and products.
• Knowledge of UK Government contracting processes.
• Experience with New Product Introduction, RFQ coordination, BOM review, and analysis.
• Experience developing supplier relationships and strong negotiation capabilities.
