Production Trainer (Days) (Manufacturing)

Location: Vernon Hills, Illinois, United States; onsite production-floor role

Salary: $24.00–$30.00 USD per hour

What you will do

• Welcome new production employees and temporary workers and introduce the workstation, production floor, colleagues, quality team, and suppliers.
• Manage training checklists, coordinate with the Production Supervisor, and assign Training Buddies.
• Demonstrate machine start-up, operation, shutdown, and responses to malfunctions or accidents.
• Train employees on workstation documentation, product quality, samples, visual inspections, traceability, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Explain workstation risks and standard responses to safety concerns or incidents.
• Assess employees after induction, provide feedback or additional training, monitor progress, and share best practices with production and HR stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as an effective operator in injection molding and/or assembly.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Completed specific training provided by the Quality and EHS departments.
• Extensive knowledge of safety procedures, GMP, quality procedures, and production documentation.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for approximately 90% of shifts.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab, and climb in a clean manufacturing and warehouse environment.
