Liability Claims Attorney Sr

Location: Remote or hybrid based in Bloomington, Illinois. Candidates within 50 miles of Bloomington must work three days in the office and two days remotely.

Base pay: $110,000–$151,250 per year, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Represent the organization in claims-related legal matters.
• Provide legal advice and training to claims personnel.
• Develop, prepare, and implement claims litigation strategies.
• Assign cases to outside counsel and evaluate their performance.
• Control litigation costs and claim severity.
• Respond to subpoenas, court orders, and other legal requests, and oversee outside counsel on claims litigation.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
• Passed the Bar exam.
• Experience handling claims-related legal matters and litigation strategy.
• For a hybrid schedule, candidates within 50 miles of Bloomington must attend the office three days per week.
