Patient Access & Pre-Access Supervisor (AI)

Location: Christiansburg, Virginia, United States; applicants must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.

Starting salary: $47,400 annually; final compensation is based on experience.

What you will do

• Coordinate daily patient registration and pre-registration activities for assigned staff.
• Train, coach, evaluate, and support Patient Access staff and monitor productivity.
• Track department metrics including point-of-service collections, wait times, overtime, and productivity.
• Assign staff schedules, manage time off and call-offs, and support on-call coverage including days, nights, and weekends.
• Monitor upfront collections, conduct performance audits, and implement process improvements.
• Manage assigned projects, maintain time and attendance records, and collaborate with facility and clinical teams.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Required certifications: Certified Healthcare Access Management (CHAM) and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR).
• Ability to lead and direct others, with strong analytical skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of registration, insurance, scheduling, verification, and hospital billing.
• Demonstrated advanced use of AI and experience managing teams using AI for process and technology improvements.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree.
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in healthcare or business.
